 Sheikh Mujib's sister Asiya Begum has two sons, Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni and Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim. About They are Sheikh Hasina's own cousin. Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim is a Member of Parliament from Gopalganj. Another cousin of Sheikh Hasina is Awami League joint secretary Bahauddin Nasim, a former MP from Madaripur-3 constituency. 

Ivy Rahman, wife of former President Zillur Rahman, is the aunt of Sheikh Rehana, the younger sister of Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina's only daughter Saima Wazed (putul). Her husband Khandaker Mashroor Hossain (Mitu) is the son of MP Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain of Faridpur-3 constituency.
