কুমিল্লায় পূজামণ্ডপে পবিত্র কোরআন শরিফ রাখা ব্যক্তিকে শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে। তাঁর নাম ইকবাল হোসেন (৩৫)। বাবার নাম নূর আহমেদ আলম। বাড়ি কুমিল্লা নগরের সুজানগর এলাকায়।
পুলিশের সংশ্লিষ্ট সূত্রগুলো বলছে, ইকবাল হোসেন ভবঘুরে। কোনো রাজনৈতিক দলের সঙ্গে তাঁর সংশ্লিষ্টতা আছে কি না, সে বিষয়ে এখনো নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি।
সিসি ক্যামেরার ফুটেজ দেখে ইকবাল হোসেনকে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে বলে পুলিশ সূত্র জানিয়েছে। কুমিল্লার পুলিশ সুপার ফারুক আহমেদ প্রথম আলোকে এ ঘটনায় একজনকে চিহ্নিত করার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
আজ বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় পুলিশ সুপার প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, পুলিশের একাধিক সংস্থার তদন্তে এই নাটকীয় অগ্রগতি হয়েছে। ওই ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেপ্তারের চেষ্টা চলছে।
কুমিল্লার পুলিশ সুপার ফারুক আহমেদ বলেছেন, আগামীকাল এ বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত তথ্য জানানো হবে।

পুলিশের ভাষ্যমতে তারা 'ইকবাল হোসেন' নামে একজনকে খুঁজে পেয়েছেন যে কুমিল্লার মন্দিরে হুনুমানের পায়ে পবিত্র কোরআন শরিফ রাখতে গেছে। এখন ইকবাল হোসেন'কে পাগল, মানুষিক ভারসাম্য হীন দেখিয়ে, কিংবা ক্রসফায়ার বা গুমের নাটক না সাজিয়ে প্লিজ বের করে ফেলুন, কে বা কারা ইকবাল হোসেন'কে সেখানে পাঠিয়েছে। আরো সোজা করে বলি, ঘটনার গডফাদার কে খুঁজে বের করুন!
আমরা বাংলাদেশের কিছু মানুষ, পুলিশের জজ মিয়া নাটক সম্পর্কে অবগত আছি। তাই পুলিশের এই হাটে হাড়ি ভাঙাকে ঠিক এখনই গ্লোরিফাই করতে পাছি না। ১০০ গজ দূরে থেকে এসে তারা ইকবাল হোসেদের ধরতে পারেন না, ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা তাদের ফোন দিতে হয়, প্রত্যাকেটা মন্দিরে ঠিক হামলার সময়টাতেই দেশের ওসিদের ফোন বন্ধ থাকে! তথাপি ভাল যে, ৫ দিন পরে হলেও কাউকে খুঁজে পেয়েছেন। এখন প্লিজ, গদা ইকবালের গডফাদারকে বের করুন।
তবে একটা কথা বলি কি! বাংলাদেশের এলিটরা গদা ইকবালকে খুব ভাল পাবে, তাদের বলার একটা পথ বেরুবে- সী! দিস ইজ ইট! আই সেইড সো! তাঁর হিন্দু বন্ধুদের গদা ইকবালের ছবি দেখিয়ে আবারও বলবে 'আই এম সরি ডুড!'। কিন্তু যদি প্রশ্ন করা হয়, গদা ইকবালকে কে বা কারা রাতের আঁধারে পাঠিয়েছে? সেটা জিজ্ঞেস করলে তাদের মগজে ঠাডা পড়বে। এদের নির্লজ্জ্বতা ও হীনমান্যতার গদাটা ধরে টান দিলে দেশের অভিজাতদের সুশীলতা অবশিষ্ট থাকবে না।

কথা হচ্ছে, এই এলিট জাস্টিসে সনাতন ধর্মী গরিব হিন্দুর নিরাপত্তা আসবে না। ঢাকার এলিট পাড়া খুনীকে খুনী, দোষীকে দোষী না বলে হামলাকারীদের গডফাদারদের সচেতন এস্কেইপ দিচ্ছে, কারণ তারা আওয়ামীলীগের লোক। এই কালচারাল দুর্বিত্তপনার বন্ধ না হলে, খোদা চাহেত বেঁচে থাকলে আরো ১০-১২ বছর পরে এসেও কোন এক হামলার পরে এই একই কথা আমাকে বলতে হবে।
এটা দিবালোকের মত স্পষ্ট যে, 'আমি লজ্জ্বিত' বলতে বলতে নির্লজ্ব হয়ে পড়া এলিটরা পাছার লেংটি শুধু নয় পাছার ছাল খসে পড়লেও বলবে না, তুই দায়ী!
